The Charter of Fundamental Rights could subvert our trade union rights
and does not guarantee the right to strike
Fundamental rights may be limited in the interests of the market
Should the proposed renamed EU Constitution come into force we would rely on the European Court of Justice to rule in favour of citizens or workers if a dispute arose between them and their government regarding the interpretation of any of the measures proposed in the Charter.
